“In the beginning was the Word, and the Word was with God, and the Word was God.” (John 1:1 NIV)
Jesus is the first and the final Word on God because Jesus is God. Fully God, He became fully human, so we could fully understand the fullness God. And, it’s by the fullness of God in us that we come to fully understand ourselves. We can know God only through an intimate relationship with Jesus. By the same token, we can know ourselves only through Jesus. Our meaning, purpose, and destiny – the persons we are meant to be – are revealed in Him. He is the first and final Word on you.
